Given the importance and role of the globalization phenomenon in economic, political, social and cultural dimensions, including education, the purpose of this study is to examine the impact of globalization on government educational expenditures in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation during the period 2009-2023 using the generalized moments model (GMM). The findings of the study indicate that the first lag of government educational expenditures has had a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable. Globalization has had a positive and significant effect on government educational expenditures. So that a one-unit increase in globalization has increased government educational expenditures by 1.329 units. Other findings of the study indicate that the variable of student population has a positive and significant effect, and the elderly population, inflation and tax revenues have had a negative and significant effect on government educational expenditures. Governments should provide a more competitive environment for this sector by strengthening the private sector in education and removing business barriers in this sector under globalization conditions.
