چکیده
مقالۀ حاضر تأثیر ابعاد فرهنگ بر رابطۀ درآمد و انتشار دی‌اکسیدکربن را در چارچوب منحنی زیست‌محیطی کوزنتس (EKC) با استفاده از روش پانل پویا و برآوردگر GMM سیستمی طی دورۀ 1990ـ2014 برای 77 کشور توسعه‌یافته و درحال‌توسعه بررسی می‌کند. نتایج برآوردگر GMM سیستمی نشان می‌دهد که: 1ـ رابطۀ EKC برای کشورهای منتخب وجود دارد؛ و 2ـ فرهنگ تأثیر قابل‌توجهی بر رابطۀ درآمد و انتشار CO2 دارد. همچنین تأثیر شش بُعد فرهنگ بر EKC را می‌توان به دو دسته طبقه‌بندی کرد: (الف) سه بُعد فاصلۀ قدرت (PDI)، مردسالاری (MAS) و زیاده‌خواهی (IVR)، موجب انتقال EKC به سمت بالا و نقطۀ بازگشت درآمد به سمت چپ می‌شوند؛ و (ب) سه بُعد فردگرایی (IND)، جهت‌گیری بلندمدت (LTO) و اجتناب از عدم قطعیت (UAI)، موجب انتقال EKC به سمت پایین و نقطۀ بازگشت درآمد به سمت راست می‌شوند.

چکیده [English]
The present paper examines the effect of culture on the relationship between income and carbon dioxide emissions in the framework of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) using dynamic panel and system GMM estimator for 77 developed and developing countries for the period 1990 to 2014. Results of estimation by system GMM indicate: (i) the existence of EKC, and (ii) significant impact of culture on the relationship between income and CO2 emissions. The impact of six dimensions of culture on EKC can be classified into two categories: (i) masculinity, power distance and indulgence move the EKC upward and shift the income turning point to the left; and (ii) individualism, uncertainty, and long-term orientation move the EKC downward while shifting the income turning point to the right.
