اثر حقوق مالکیت معنوی روی رشد اقتصادی: مقایسه کشورهای توسعه‌یافته و در حال توسعه اسلامی

چکیده

حقوق مالکیت معنوی نقش مهمی در «رشد اقتصادی» بلند مدت جوامع دارد. ازاین‌روی، نهادهای بین‌المللی همچون سازمان تجارت جهانی و سازمان مالکیت معنوی جهانی در سال‌های اخیر، توصیه‌هایی به اعضای خود بر تأمین و تقویت این عامل تعیین کننده کرده‌اند. این پژوهش به این پرسش می‌پردازد که آیا حمایت از حقوق مالکیت معنوی اثر متفاوتی روی رشد اقتصادی کشورهای توسعه یافته و در حال توسعه دارد؟ بدین منظور، از داده‌های 15 کشور - در دو گروه توسعه‌یافته (کشورهای G7) و در حال توسعه (کشورهای D8) - برای دوره زمانی (2005-1975) استفاده می‌شود و با استفاده از روش اقتصادسنجی داده‌های تلفیقی، موضوع مورد مطالعه تحلیل می‌شود. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهند که اثر حمایت از حقوق مالکیت معنوی روی رشد اقتصادی به درجه توسعه اقتصادی کشورهای مورد مطالعه وابسته است. به بیان دیگر، اثر حمایت ازحقوق مالکیت معنوی روی رشد اقتصادی، در کشورهای توسعه‌یافته گروه 7‌G، با توجه به ظرفیت‌های زیربنایی و سطح توسعه یافتگی آن‌ها، نسبت به کشور‌های در حال توسعه گروه D8 بیشتر و با‌ معنا‌تر است.

The Role of Intellectual Property Rights on Economic Growth: A Comparison of G7 and D8 Countries

چکیده English

Intellectual Property Rights has an important role on the long-run economic growth of the countries. So, in recent years, the international institutions likes World Trade Organization (WTO) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) have recommended their members, the establishments and the reinforcement of this determinant factor in their economic policies. This research deals with this question that whether the intellectual property rights can explain the difference between growth rates of developing and developed countries? For this purpose, we use data of 15 countries for the period of 1975-2005 that is divided in two groups of developed countries (G7) and developing countries (D8); and to analyze the data, the econometric panel data approach is applied. The results show that the intellectual property rights impact on economic growth depends on the degree of economic development of the concerned countries. That is, the effect of intellectual property rights on economic growth, in developed countries (G7) is higher than in developing countries (D8).
