A key aspect of this study is to investigate the influence of the Regime shift on the tri-variate relationship among these variables.  Results confirm the presence of regime shift effects in the long run inter-linkages among energy use, real <em>GDp < /em> and <strong><em> CO₂</em></strong>  emissions in Iran thus, indicating that the structural changes have both economic and environmental effects. Also, the results of the causality test reveal existence of uni-directional causality from economic growth and energy use to carbon emissions and bidirectional causality between economic growth and energy consumption. Thus, energy-efficient technologies should be used in domestic production to mitigate carbon emissions. Hence, integration of energy and environmental policies into development plans is imperative towards attaining sustainable growth and development.</em></em> این مقاله پویایی‌های علّی بین مصرف انرژی، تولید ناخالص داخلی حقیقی و انتشار دی‌اکسید‌کربن را در حضور تغییرات رژیم با استفاده از هم‌انباشتگی آستانه‌ای گرگوری و هانسن (1996a) و تکنیک علیت گرنجرِ تودا و یاماموتو (۱۹۹۵) در ایران طی دوره زمانی 1347-1393 بررسی می‌کند. وجه کلیدی این مطالعه، بررسی اثرات تغییر رژیم بر روابط بین این سه متغیر است. نتایج، حضور اثرات تغییر رژیم در ارتباطات درونی بین مصرف انرژی، تولید ناخالص داخلی حقیقی و انتشار  را تأیید کرده و نشان می‌دهد که تغییرات ساختاری دارای هر دو اثر اقتصادی و زیست محیطی است. همچنین، نتایج آزمون علیت تودا - یاماموتو بیانگر علیت یک‌طرفه از رشد اقتصادی و مصرف انرژی به انتشارآلاینده و علیت دو طرفه بین رشد اقتصادی و مصرف انرژی است. بنابراین در تولید داخلی برای کاهش دادن انتشار  باید از تکنولوژی‌های کارا در مصرف انرژی بهره برد. از این رو، الحاق سیاست‌های مصرف انرژی و زیست محیطی در برنامه‌های توسعه در دستیابی به رشد و توسعه پایدار ضروری است. https://economic.mofidu.ac.ir/article_29784_534e33e3c3e71bddf1dba0a0e00c814c.pdf
