By applying, ARDL and also ECM models we have analyzed the short run and long run relationships between misery index and crime in Iran for 1974-2010 period. According to findings of this research, the misery index does have positive and significant relationship with crime in Iran in period of study. Also, testing the stability of coefficients indicates the meaningful stability for coefficients in question.
